The main focus for Ryan's teaching style is to create a space for anyone, and everyone. He offers modifications and intensifications for most postures, and encourages strong attention to the breath; especially through a challenging flow.
Ryan's teacher training was inspired by the Ashtanga tradition, with a strong emphasis on an 8-Limbed Yoga practice and "moving-meditation."
After years of struggling with anxiety\depression, he sees Yoga as a tool that helps us to "breathe-through" and find balance during the uncomfortable parts of life.
