Candlelight Yin Yoga

This class is taught by:

Kaitlyn Clement

Kaitlyn is a New Orleans transplant hailing from Austin, Texas. Nine years after beginning her practice, she took the leap in 2016 to become an instructor and received her 200 hour RYT certification in Thailand. When she's not making shapes, Kaitlyn loves seeing live music, eating pizza, and running around the bayou.

Claire Mangano

After completing her teacher training locally at Free To Be Power Yoga Claire began to teach when ever and where ever honing her skills on and off the mat. Being a student and employee of yoga has allowed Claire to soak up knowledge from the numerous talented teachers that have flowed on the same wood floors she now looks forward to teaching on everyday, making her what she likes to call a Gumbo. Her classes are geared towards fun and lightness, offering modifications for all levels whilst maintaining a sturdy foundation in alignment and breath. Accessibility and a welcoming atmosphere through a higher paced flow designed to take you out of your day and into your body will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed. Claire sees herself as a student and enjoys learning from the practice of teaching as well as lessons learned through the continued discipline of the practice.

Cheyenne Ellis

Rooted firmly in the believe that yoga is for every body, Cheyenne hopes to spread yoga and mindfulness to every New Orleanian, regardless of body type, age, or background Cheyenne was first introduced to yoga over 10 years ago through a Kundalini class with her mom in Dallas, Texas. Having developed a deeper practice through practice at studios Washington, DC, and Copenhagen, Denmark, Cheyenne completed her 200 RYT training in New Orleans through Free To Be Empowered Teacher Training program in December 2015.
During the day she helps create employment opportunities for New Orleans youth within our city's fastest growing industries.

L K

LK has bounced up and down the East Coast. Born in Massachusetts, college in Miami, worked in NYC before settling on her forever-home of New Orleans!

Join LK for her Beginner or All-levels classes. She is also available for private or small group bookings at the higherpower studio.
Attack the "Sunday Scaries" head on with a deeply relaxing practice of supported poses, mindful connective tissue stretching, yoga breathing and an extended savasana. This practice cultivates a necessary balance between body and mind while dissolving physical and mental tension.

For any level student seeking to reduce the effects of stress. Provides a wonderful complement to vigorous exercise, running, cycling, and other more active pursuits.
