Jen Meinen

I have been a fitness instructor for 5 years, teaching Spin, TRX, and yoga around the New Orleans community. I ran my first 5K in 2003, and since then, have continued to grow as an athlete and instructor, outside of my career in medical device clinical research. I have competed in half ironman and half marathon races all over the country, while expanding my passion for cycling, swimming, and running, but also balancing my training with regular classes in yoga and CrossFit. I recently completed the Free to Be Empowered 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program with a Baptiste affiliated studio in New Orleans, and have truly embraced the changes in myself through this work. This experience has inspired my classes in the cycling room and yoga studio, where I am able to give more through my words and experiences than ever before. I enjoy inspiring my indoor cycling rides and yoga practice with my experiences and my music, while also challenging my students to explore opportunities to grow both in their commitment to fitness and motivation to achieve their individual goals.

Sarah Corcoran

Water. Flow. Flux. Fluid. Constant Change.
Water and Flow have been crucial components of my life since I was
a young, competitive swimmer and, currently, as a youth swim coach.
Yet, I have not always embraced the state of flux, the fluidity of life.
My resistance to change has often caused me stress and difficulty.
Yoga has been teaching me to flow with the state of grace since
2007. I learn to, more and more, accept the world and myself as it is.
My slow flow, Forrest-inspired classes are designed to build strength,
flexibility and confidence. If you are a newbie, are working with an
injury or wanting to "up your game" there is a place in my class for
you to go with your flow. There is yoga for everyone who wants it.
My passion is movement: swimming, yoga, TRX, cycling and
whatever else inspires me!

Barrett Thrasher

Barrett Thrasher is an Alabama native (Roll Tide) married to a south Louisiana boy and is thrilled to call New Orleans home.
When Barrett started practicing yoga she had come off of a marathon running season with a severe knee injury. She thought, 'yoga can’t be for me, I am too inflexible' and frankly she thought yoga looked boring.
However, through a daily practice Barrett rehabbed her knee, she found a deeper sense of strength and abroader range of motion, but more importantly she learned how to move with integrity in her body which prevents injuries in her other activities and sports. Barrett fell in love with the science and physiology of asana.
Barrett teaches alignment based classes with roots in the Anusara and Iyengar traditions with a focus on intelligent cueing that helps people find their edge and their fullest expression of a pose.
She continues to further her education with her teachers, peers and her practice but prefers to let her teaching speak for itself.

Jordan Esfeld

Like many others, Jordan found yoga at a time when she was in pain and felt stuck. In 2010, a friend took her to a hot yoga class and although it started as a means to exercise, it became a way of life. The pain began to dissipate, Jordan felt more conscious and alive than ever, and she knew she needed to keep this practice in her life. In Jordan's class, you will play, flow, sweat, relax, and of course, breathe.

Claire Mangano

After completing her teacher training locally at Free To Be Power Yoga Claire began to teach when ever and where ever honing her skills on and off the mat. Being a student and employee of yoga has allowed Claire to soak up knowledge from the numerous talented teachers that have flowed on the same wood floors she now looks forward to teaching on everyday, making her what she likes to call a Gumbo. Her classes are geared towards fun and lightness, offering modifications for all levels whilst maintaining a sturdy foundation in alignment and breath. Accessibility and a welcoming atmosphere through a higher paced flow designed to take you out of your day and into your body will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed. Claire sees herself as a student and enjoys learning from the practice of teaching as well as lessons learned through the continued discipline of the practice.
