Our classes are designed for all fitness levels. In each class, your instructor will lead the way, suggesting different movements and challenges, but YOU decide what is right for you. Individual resistance knobs located on each bike allows you to truly customize the cycling classes to your fitness level. If this is your first time taking a cycle class please arrive 15 minutes before class so that the instructor can help you customize your bike for a perfect fit. For all yoga and TRX classes please show up 10 minutes early and don’t forget your mat!
Classes start promptly as scheduled, please arrive 5- 10 minutes before the start of class. Please note that if it's a sold-out class, you must be checked-in and on your bike or mat at the official start of class. If the class is NOT sold-out, there will a 3-minute grace period. After 3-minutes, you will not be allowed to enter the studio. This is both for your safety (it's dark in our cycle studio after the warm-up!) and the enjoyment and focus of your fellow riders and yogis.
First things first. In order to reserve a class you must purchase a class package or membership. Visit the rates section to browse or rates and options. You may also purchase over the phone by calling the studio 504-302-7497 or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Out of consideration for your fellow riders, yogis, and the instructor, put your phone on silent/vibrate while you are in the studio. Phones are not allowed in our classes; texts, calls, FB post notifications are a distraction and we want you and your fellow classmates to get the most out of your workout. Lockers located in the main lobby are provided to keep your valuables secure while you sweat!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? DO I NEED SPECIAL SHOES?
We recommend wearing a tank top or t-shirt and comfortable leggings or shorts. If you are new to cycling, it's fine to wear sneakers as our bikes have clips for cycling shoes on one side of the pedal and a cage for sneakers on the other side. Cycling shoes are available for use at the studio free of charge. If you own your own cycling shoes please make sure they have SPD clips on them.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
Hydration is key! We have a water cooler in our studio, as well as bottled water for purchase. We provide towels to mop the sweat. And trust us, you'll need one or maybe three. Please bring a mat for all yoga, TRX/EPIC and combo classes (bicycling buddha, cycle core, TRX/CYCLE). If you forget one, no worries you may rent a mat for $2. PLEASE NOTE - We have a limited supply of complimentary cycling shoes in each size and are distributed on a first-come basis.
ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED AT HIGHERPOWER?
We do no offer daycare of any kind at either the downtown or Midcity studios. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to attend classes. Ages 16-18 must be accompanied by an adult to attend classes. Children under the age of 12 may wait in the lobby only if accompanied by an adult at all times. Can’t make it to class?
Simply cancel your reservation 3 hours prior to the scheduled class time. Cancellations can be made online or by calling the studio.
Using Class Credits?
If you cancel your reservation 3 hours prior to class, your account will be credited for use at a later date. Class credits are non refundable. If you do not cancel 3 hours prior to class, you will be charged for that class.
Using the Unlimited Membership?
Simply cancel 3 hours prior to the scheduled class. We have a 3 strikes and you’re out policy for no-shows. If you miss more than 3 classes it will result in a $10 missed class fee.
